Transform a Life Through the Joy of Sports.
On February 15, 2020 I’ll be pushing my beautiful daughter, Avalyn, in the Polar Plunge 5k. We are fundraising for the event to benefit the Special Olympics New Hanover County.
This program provides year-round sports training, competition, social events, and the Camp Shriver summer camp for people ages 8 and older with intellectual disabilities.
More than 600 athletes participate in Special Olympics New Hanover County. The program relies on private and corporate support as well as the efforts of over 300 volunteers. These services are provided at no cost to the athletes or their families.
Please help me in raising much needed funds to keep these programs running, and to help athletes reach their goals.
Your donation helps bring those with intellectual disabilities into the larger society under conditions whereby they are accepted, respected and given the chance to become useful and productive citizens.
