On February 15, 2020 --
I'm taking the Plunge
-- the Polar Plunge 5K & 1 Mile. All for the Special Olympics New Hanover County. Last year I raised over $2000 for our local programs thanks to the generosity of family, friends and neighbors. I'm hoping to reach that goal again this year, so please read on and then make a donation to support the programs that make such a difference in my life and the lives of many others in the Cape Fear.
This program provides year-round sports training, competition, social events, and the Camp Shriver summer camp for people ages 8 and older with intellectual disabilities.
More than 600 athletes participate in Special Olympics New Hanover County.
The program relies on private and corporate support as well as the efforts of over 300 volunteers. These services are provided at no cost to the athletes or their families.
Please help me in raising much needed funds to keep these programs running, and to help athletes reach their goals.
Your donation helps
bring those with intellectual disabilities into the larger society under conditions whereby they are accepted, respected and given the chance to become useful and productive citizens.
